The safety data sheet describes classification, handling, storage and transport of the oil. The IFRA statement confirms that the oil meets the IFRA standard. The allergen list names the fragrance substances you must declare on your label. CPSR, batch documents and specifications are available on request.
What is the difference between a safety data sheet and a CPSR?
The safety data sheet belongs to the oil as a raw material and follows chemicals law (REACH and CLP). The CPSR belongs to the finished perfume and follows cosmetics law. You order the CPSR for your product, and the blog shows how to read the data sheet: reading the safety data sheet for perfume oil (German).
What do I need the IFRA statement for?
It confirms that the oil meets the IFRA standard. Maximum levels apply per product category, so perfume has different limits than candles or soap. More in the blog: IFRA standards explained (German).
